We’ve all felt the call to “take action” against climate change - what does that mean, and can you really make a difference? Tune in on September 23 to speak with leading climate scientists, successful change-makers and sustainability leaders as we get right to the FACTS.

We'll tackle the hard truths of climate change, share unbeatable insight on “climate politics” in Australia, how social moments work and the many ways YOU can have an impact.

Speakers

  1.  Sarah Rickards

    Sara AKA the Sustainability Ninja and F***giver, is a Biomedical Scientist, Environmental Engineer and leadership coach. If she isn't out in the ocean, you will find her having a laugh, giving TED talks or working on world changing projects.
     
  2. Mark Diesendorf

    Mark Diesendorf is an Australian scientist, researcher, author and environmentalist, known for his long standing leadership in sustainable development and renewable energy. His latest book is “Sustainable Energy Solutions for Climate Change”. He loves the Australian bush and wildlife and is a one of Australia’s most passionate and outspoken advocates for shifting to an ecologically sustainable and socially just society.
     
  3. Ella Factor

    Ella is a grassroots and federal policy activist with insight into every faced the Australian movement. She holds a Master of Public Policy, has studied grassroots activism, and currently works as an organiser at the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU).
     
  4. Jordan Hodgson

    Jordan is avid outdoorsman and home-composter, is on a mission to make climate action mainstream. Through his not-for-profit work he champions grassroots advocacy and taking collective action beyond the home. Jordan is an active volunteer with Citizens’ Climate Lobby and co-founder of Make Your Change - an organisation focused on making it easier for Australians to take action, while connecting and strengthening the environmental movement.

This is the 2nd in a series of practical webinar presented by the UNSW Enviro Collective and The Climate Change Network with support of UNSW Environmental Sustainability, UNSW students and academics committed to sharing the truth, building networks and finding solutions.
