LEAF - Join the sustainable lab movement

The Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF) is an internationally recognised accreditation which involves laboratory groups taking practical actions to cut their environmental impact.

This can include action on single-use plastic, reducing energy-intensive processes, better management of waste, and saving water.

Environmental sustainability at UNSW: 2023 in review

UNSW Sydney marked World Environment Day with the release of the Environmental Sustainability Report 2023.

The report marked the second year of implementation for our Environmental Sustainability Plan 2022-24, and also marked a sobering year in climate records. Last year was officially the warmest year on record since temperature measurements started in 1850. This alarming record underscores the continued need for UNSW to pave the way towards a future that is environmentally sustainable and secure for all.
