UNSW Urban Growers Launch

UNSW Urban Growers will be planting and tending to a Teaching and Research Garden at "The Cage," a space in the north-east corner of the Barker St carpark.

The introduction of this garden in this space is a joint initiative of the Scientia Education Academy and the Grand Challenge on Rapid Urbanisation and brought to fruition by UNSW Urban Growers. 

The Teaching and Research Garden will be available for use in courses and research.

All staff and students are invited to explore the garden and resources available, participate in planting and help to make UNSW Kensington campus greener.

Launch Event Program - 12 November 

  • 11am-2pm: Help with Planting
  • 12:15pm: Snack provided by the OzHarvest food truck
  • 1.15pm: Formal launch by Professor Merlin Crossley, DVC Academic

UNSW Urban Growers is cross faculty staff and student group from Law, Built Environment, Public Health and Community Medicine, Engineering, BEES, ARC, UNSW Wellbeing, Environment & Society, FASS, and Estate Management.
